A movie that illuminates the beauty of life in this culture war against life

Thus far in the abortion war, one tool the pro-abortion side has clearly used far more effectively than the pro life side is the entertainment media. Slick, big-budget productions such as Cider House ...

Why am I Pro-Life?
Wed May 21, 2008
I was at an abortion debate recently and even though the ProLife speaker made it clear that he believes that an unborn human being is still a human being and a human person and as such, deserves the same rights and freedoms as any other human being, there were several people in the audience who kept accusing him of being against women’s rights. They also claimed that as a man, he had no say. I have also felt that way: that as a man, I don’t have a say because this is a “woman’s issue." A few days later, I read something about ProLifers wanting to make all "uteruses the property of the state." That seems to me to be the most ludicrous statement, yet, the people who make this claim are serious. They really feel threatened by the idea that abortion may one day not be available and "legal...continue reading
It's all about a fetus
Mon November 19, 200
Let me tell you about a conversation I recently had with an old, old friend. "I think that a woman can do whatever she wants with her body", she said to me, quite agitated. "But, that's not what the issue is," I retorted. "What's the issue then?" "It's whether the fetus is a human being or not." Ignoring this last comment, she pressed on, "If abortions where illegal, think of all the women who would die trying to get abortions in unsanitary conditions─" "That's just completely irrational." Now I was beginning to get agitated myself. "That's like saying we need to make crimes legal so that the people committing them don't get killed or hurt other people." She started to interrupt. But I was louder, "It's like saying, 'let's make suicide bombings legal and safe so that the...continue reading
Your Personhood is aborted. So is my fatherhood...
Sun August, 2007
“Abortion: One Dead, One Wounded.” While this popular pro life slogan rings true and brings much needed attention to the other victim of abortion, the woman choosing one, like society in general it fails to recognize the third person’s intimate involvement in abortion and his subsequent wounds: the father of the lost baby. And while the impact of abortion on men is largely off the radar even within pro life circles, it remains virtually invisible in our pro choice, liberal world. Be assured, however, they are out there: countless men living in the often debilitating aftermath of abortion. Some men experience the tremendous impact of abortion immediately upon receiving the phone call that “it’s a done deal,” while others wrap up the incident with justification and tuck it away in some ...continue reading

Dear editor, Congratulations on launching your new site. I have just read Dr. Klaus' article and it is appropriate that one of the first articles should be on the life of such a gentle giant of a man. It was he who inspired me to train as a Billings teacher in 1981 and challenged me to keep going until I die! I have been saddened recently by the fact that the ink on the many faxes he sent us has faded to make reading difficult if not impossible. He answered any letters about the cases of clients sent to him so we must preserve what can be salvaged. He wrote thousands of letters to many Billings teachers giving them encouragement and support. We must salvage the non-personal paragraphs in a booklet, and I will suggest this to the Australian headquarters. Since Dr. Ev...continue reading

The Legacy of Drs. Johnand Evelyn Billings
When Dr. John Billings died April 1, 2007, at 89 years of age, the world wide Billings family lost its father. Dr. John began to try to help couples who had not succeeded in controlling the size of their families by the methods which were available in 1953 - the calendar rhythm of Ogino-Knaus, and the temperature method which could tell women when their fertility ended, but not when it began... continue reading
